| Process improvements in the Software
Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) were recommended using the
CMMI® framework. With the CMMI® framework as the
reference Wipro conducted an initial process study and
identified the most critical process changes that would
have the maximum impact. Wipro began by defining the various
templates, score cards and checklists required for critical
quality reviews. Key metrics, aligned to business needs
were identified and monitoring process was implemented
at the project level. These review processes were integrated
with the basic metrics system. The best practices were
institutionalized through comprehensive knowledge management
and training workshops including those on the CMMI framework
and the benefits of implementing CMMI® processes. |
