The business challenge
A complex IT environment with the presence of business units each equipped with its own mission critical systems along with an open systems infrastructure accessible to all. Organization had IT service delivery and support processes with certain amount of maturity, yet to be assessed for their preparedness for disaster recovery.
 
The solution
Wipro’s Business Continuity Lifecycle Model (WBCLM) was used to conduct the CM and DR assessment. This Model is derived from ITIL best practices and as per ISO 17999 standard clause 11.1. Also, ITSMF assessment model used for maturity assessment. Business critical systems and applications were identified and their preparedness for disaster recovery was assessed.
